This severe form of liver disease causes cirrhosis that can lead to liver failure or cancer. There is currently no treatment for NASH; many of those affected must seek liver transplantation. Now, Danny Manor (Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH) and collaborators have identified a potential treatment for NASH in the form of vitamin E.
